This tour shows some of the best the bay has to offer! Start your day with a scenic 40-minute ferry ride through the Bay of Islands to the spectacular Otehei Bay. Enjoy a coffee as you prepare for your kayaking adventure around Urupukapuka Island exploring the amazing environment, where every stroke of your paddle unveils a world of wonders.

Paddle through pristine waters bordered by white sand beaches that are dotted along the coastline. The crystal clear waters reveal a vibrant eco system filled with life, and, if you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a majestic stingray gliding effortlessly beneath you.

Stop at one of the amazing beaches to discover the island – take a swim or follow the graceful dance and songs of Aotearoa’s unique bird life and learn how local projects are working diligently to restore the island’s natural balance.

On our return to Otehei Bay we’ll stop and meet the local snapper, then, once we’re back on shore, take some time to unwind before enjoying a delicious meal at the café – you’ll have earned it!
